Keys to Leadership

Question: What is Keys to Leadership?

Answer: A leadership conference for troops of girls, grades 6-12 (Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors) which offers Girls Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) leadership courses including Program Aide and Counselor-in-Training as well as a variety of enrichment opportunities. Learning and limited enrichment courses are also offered to troop advisors who attend this event.

Girls who attend will receive the appropriate GSUSA award (pin), the Keys to Leadership patch and either blue (Cadette) or yellow (Senior) keys for each leadership course they attend.

Once girls have received the “Keys” patch, they can earn additional keys for:
Leadership courses they complete either within Girl Scouts or the General Community.
Holding an officer’s position in a school, church club, or community organization is also accepted.

Keys to Leadership 2010 is scheduled for Friday September 24th – Sunday September 26th. Registration deadline is Friday, September 3rd, 2010. Don’t miss it!
